These protein-packed, power pancakes will really make your morning. They have fantastic flavor from hearty grains, nutty, toasty flax, a touch of vanilla and cinnamon. The added punch of protein come from egg whites and cottage cheese blended until smooth. 19 grams of protein and just 285 calories.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup
    AllWhites® egg whites
  • 1 cup
    low-fat cottage cheese
  • 2 Tbsp.
    agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup
    whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup
    old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup
    yellow cornmeal
  • 3 Tbsp.
    ground golden flax seeds or flax meal
  • 1 tsp.
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp.
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp.
    ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place AllWhites egg whites, cottage cheese and agave syrup in blender; process until smooth. Pour into large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients until smooth.

  • Heat a griddle or large skillet to medium heat. Spray with cooking spray. Drop batter in large spoonfuls onto griddle; cook until bubbles form and edges are dry. Turn; cook until browned.

  • Serve with Greek yogurt, fresh blueberries, and pure maple syrup, or spread with almond butter and drizzle with cinnamon honey.
