This delicious fruit and nut granola is spiced with just the right touch of vanilla, cinnamon and ginger and sweetened with brown sugar and maple syrup. Try it in breakfast parfaits, layered with fresh fruit and yogurt, on it's own or atop baked fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup
    packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup
    pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup
    AllWhites® egg whites
  • 2 tsp.
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp.
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp.
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp.
    salt
  • 3 cup
    old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup
    coarsely chopped walnuts or slivered almonds
  • 2/3 cup
    raw hulled pumpkin seeds (pepitas) and/or sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup
    toasted wheatgerm
  • 2 Tbsp.
    golden flax seeds
  • 1 cup
    golden raisins and/or chopped apricots

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 325°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil; spray with nonstick cooking spray. Stir sugar, honey, AllWhites egg whites, vanilla, cinnamon and salt together in large bowl until well blended.
