Top this scrumptious oven-baked brunch delight with bananas and a streusel to enjoy a new take on an old favorite.

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon French Bread Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb.
    French Bread, sliced 3/4-in thick (about 14 slices)
  • 2/3 cup
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup (12 oz.)
    AllWhites® egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cup
    fat free half and half
  • 1 tsp.
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp.
    vanilla
  • Banana Streusel Topping Ingredients

    bananas, sliced
  • 1/4 cup
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup
    quick-cooking oats
  • 2 Tbsp.
    butter or margarine, melted

Instructions

  • Butter 13x9-inch glass baking dish. Place bread, cut side up, in single layer in bottom of dish. In medium bowl combine 2/3 cup brown sugar, AllWhites, half and half, cinnamon and vanilla; stir to mix well. Pour brown sugar mixture over bread. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.

  • Heat oven to 375° F. Place sliced bananas in single layer over bread. In small bowl combine brown sugar, oats and melted butter; mix well. Sprinkle streusel over bananas.

  • Bake, uncovered, 30 to 35 minutes or until bread is golden brown and crisp.
