Traditional banana bread can have up to 7.2g of fat per slice. By using AllWhites® and other low fat ingredients, you can cut the fat in half!


  • 1/2 cup (4 oz.)
    AllWhites® egg whites
  • 1/3 cup
    skim milk
  • 1/4 cup
  • 2 Tbsp.
    canola oil
  • 1 cup
    all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup
    whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp.
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp.
  • 2/3 cup
  • 2
    very ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
  • 1 tsp.


  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9x5-inch or 8x4-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray; dust with flour. In small bowl stir together AllWhites, milk, applesauce and oil; set aside. In another small bowl stir together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

  • In large bowl beat together sugar, mashed bananas and vanilla with electric mixer. Alternatively add AllWhites egg whites mixture and flour mixture, beating on low speed and scraping bowl often, just until all ingredients are incorporated.

  • Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely before slicing.
