Better'n Eggs® Recipe,

How can these low fat triple chocolate brownies taste so rich? Its easy to reduce the fat when you use Better’n Eggs® and applesauce.

Preparation: 15 minutes  
Time-To-Table: 45 minutes  
Serving Size: 16

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/3 cup Better'n Eggs®
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 squares (1 ounce each) semi sweet baking chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
    Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

    Stir together flour, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt until well mixed. Stir in applesauce, Better’n Eggs, canola oil, melted baking chocolate and vanilla just until well mixed; careful not to over stir. Spread brownie mixture into prepared pan. Sprinkle with miniature chocolate chips.

    Bake 20 to 24 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not over bake.
