Better'n Eggs® Recipe,

Go ahead, be a cookie monster! Satisfy your craving with this soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe. We've kept all the cookie goodness, but trimmed some of the fat. Just 103 calories per cookie!

Preparation: 45 minutes  
Time-To-Table: 55 minutes  
Serving Size: Makes about 4 dozen

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz.) Better'n Eggs®
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
    1. Heat oven to 350° F. In large bowl combine applesauce, butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer until well mixed. Add Better'n Eggs. Beat just until mixed. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.

    2. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Flatten cookie slightly. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
