Better'n Eggs® Recipe,

Serve this delicious marinara sauce filled with jumbo homemade meatballs over hot cooked pasta.

Preparation: 15 minutes  
Time-To-Table: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup Crystal Farms® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup (2 ounces) Better'n Eggs®
  • 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Marinara Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf

Pasta Ingredients:

  • Cooked Pasta

Instructions:
    1. In medium bowl combine all meatball ingredients; mix well using hands if necessary. Form into 2-inch balls.

    2. Heat oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet. Add onion, garlic and meatballs. Cook over medium heat, turning meatballs and stirring onion mixture, until meatballs are browned (4 to 5 minutes). Reduce heat to low. Add all remaining sauce ingredients except pasta; mix well. Cover, cook until center of meatballs are no longer pink (25 to 30 minutes), stirring occasionally.

    3. Serve meatball marinara sauce over cooked pasta.
